Bulk Sewing Supplies

One easy way to save when sewing is to buy frequently used notions in bulk! Here are three items I have purchased and use frequently.

Bias Tape

I got 55 yards of this double fold 1/2 inch bias tape for a little over $10. Totally worth it so I don’t have to waste time making my own for projects or spending $3 for just a few yards.

Elastic

I use 1/4 inch elastic all the time and it gets expensive (and annoying) having to go to the craft store to buy more. I got 100 yards of this for $10.50.

Elastic Thread/Shirring Elastic

Last but certainly not least is this elastic thread I use for shirring. Shirring is one of my favorite sewing techniques and I go through a lot of elastic thread. This has 547 (!) yards of thread for $10. This is the first and only elastic thread I have ever used.
